• Account information: Email address, name, and profile picture (when you sign in with Google or Apple).
• Reflection data: Text entries, voice recordings, and photos you choose to record as part of your reflections.
• Mood data: Your mood check-in selections (Great, Good, Neutral, Low, Difficult).
• Usage data: App launch times, feature interactions, and crash reports to help us improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the vitnus service:

• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To store and display your reflections on your devices.
• To send you daily reminder notifications (if you enable them).
• To diagnose issues and improve app performance.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your reflection data is stored securely on our servers using encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We never share your reflection content with anyone.

We use third-party service providers for infrastructure:

• DigitalOcean (cloud hosting)
• Google Cloud (authentication services)
• Apple (authentication services)

These providers process data only on our behalf and under our instructions. They do not have access to your reflection content beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal data at any time.
• Export your reflections in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent for data processing (note: this may affect app functionality).
• Request a copy of all data we hold about you.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently erased within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

vitnus is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
